LazyPaw’s very own Dr. Julaine Hunter put down her stethoscope and picked up a hammer to participate in helping the Hope Park Build Week from April 5th to April 14th in Frisco, Texas. Hope Park Build Week is a construction event working to build a park to accommodate students with special needs, helping with sensory issues, speech, and developmental and physical delays. Hope Park works to bring these children together and help them to build up their self-confidence while making friends and playing together.

Hunter strongly believes that all children deserve the opportunity to play in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere among their peers, a message that Hope Park also stands behind. Hunter and LazyPaw Animal Hospitals showed their support through sponsorship of three fence pickets and a commemorative brick. This sponsorship represents the honor of great community members of Frisco, TX and Dr. Hunter’s participation in Build Week. Hope Park, with the support of volunteers, sponsors and community members, will make a lasting impact on the Frisco community and touch the lives of children with special needs and their family and friends.
